Rattan care:

Cleaning your natural rattan accessories is simple!

  • For routine cleaning, use your vacuum's brush attachment to clear dust from woven surfaces and crevices. If additional cleaning is needed, wipe the frame with a damp microfiber cloth to remove dirt buildup. For dried residues, a toothbrush or soft brush can help loosen them; allow the area to air-dry once clean.
  • Ensure rattan furniture is thoroughly dried and avoid soaking it in water. If it becomes too wet, drying it in the sun is ideal. Rattan typically retains its shape, so be careful not to bend it while wet.
  • Rattan, like other materials, can develop mold. Regardless of climate, humidity can expose your rattan to moisture. Treat mildew promptly using a strong bleach solution on affected areas and dry outdoors immediately.
  • Avoid placing rattan made items near extreme heat and sun to prevent warping or drying.
